In the second quarter of 2020, average sales prices of apartments in the Czech Republic continued to rise. Compared to the previous quarter, their value increased by 2.4% on average to CZK 67,000 per square metre. May and June of this year were months that were supposted to decide or at least suggest how the residential market will develop further. The hardest hit part of the market was demand, which fell sharply in March and April and the recovery was gradual but short. The price growth was recorded mainly in Plzeňský region (+14.7%), Liberecký region (+10.8%) and Olomoucký region (+9.1%). Prices on the other hand dropped in Karlovy Vary region (-2.7%) and České Budějovice region (-2.6%).
